How stories are chosen and checked
- Public sources only. Every story links to a public write-up. Every number on the page is quoted from that source.
- Blank means unknown. If the source doesn't state cost, team size, duration or stack, we leave it blank. We never estimate.
- Source type is labelled. Vendor-published means the tool vendor published or co-published it. Practitioner means the company wrote about its own work. Independent means research or press not tied to the vendor.
- Codebase tags are editorial. "Brownfield" means the source describes changing an existing codebase (migrations, upgrades, refactors). "Greenfield" means new code built from scratch.
- Caveats are always shown. Self-reported estimates, vendor partnerships and methodology limits sit next to the numbers.
- Corrections welcome. Send a correction and we'll update the entry and its "last checked" date.
